The position: Regional Sales Manager
The company: North American operation of an international group, represented in 30 different countries.
The focus: To assist specifiers such as architects, engineers, and designers bring their visions to life through quality, performance and architectural style in exterior spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Promoting and developing specifications for company products and solutions.
- Direct contact with project owner, design team, and related contractors
- Training and managing independent manufacturers’ representatives/agents to identify and cultivate large growth markets and project opportunities
- Regional travel is approximately 50-60% of the time, primarily to the east coast. But when not traveling, you will work out of the company's corporate HQ, near Chicago.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven technical aptitude
- 3 years' specification sales experience - must know the spec/A&D/A&E sales process for building/construction. This must be your current or most recent, primary experience.
- Examples of product experience: building automation systems, tile, telecommunications, roofing, flooring, building envelope/enclosure systems, lighting controls, exterior coatings . . .
- Strong time management and origination skills
- The company will train you in its product line!
