Internet Marketing Consultant

 

Position Summary:    Our Internet Marketing Consultants (IMCs) have a unique opportunity to blend a truly consultative sale with a meaningful, long-term relationship with clients. Top performers traditionally have dynamic personalities, and always have proven track records of achievement. IMCs are our primary evangelistic force in promoting and demonstrating the value of the ReachLocal platform to the businesses that need the most help. And because our IMCs know they have a product which truly helps local businesses, they are eager to help spread the word and bring advertisers onboard.

 

The IMC position is the foundation of our sales-based organization and culture, and is collectively responsible for our extraordinary growth over the past 4 years. ReachLocal IMCs help generate and develop sales in their local marketplaces through a combination of telephone and premise-based sales.  Specifically, they deliver technology-enabled, full-service digital marketing solutions and strategies to small- and medium-sized businesses.

 

The position is in a booming industry where technology meets advertising, and is very entrepreneurial in nature. While IMCs report directly to a Regional Sales Manager, much of the time they are essentially their own boss managing their own time and their own “book of business.” An IMC must know how to strike a successful balance between growing their book while maintaining meaningful, consultative and lasting relationships with their existing clients.

 

ReachLocal IMCs are tactful but aggressive closers. They know how to run great campaigns and retain clients, have a skill set which goes well beyond the traditional sales profile, and are crucial to our corporate culture: IMCs create excitement in the office and territory wherever ReachLocal is expanding!
