and coolest spots in town? Do you like to convince people to try new things? Do
you have a knack and experience in sales? 
If so, LivingSocial may be right for you!



 



LivingSocial is searching for an
Outside Sales Rep in the Twin Cities area. 
Outside Sales Reps should be outgoing, have strong interpersonal skills,
and an appreciation for social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter
and other online communities. Ideal candidates will also have local advertising
sales experience and the strong desire to close a sale.  The Sales Reps will be responsible for
expanding the LivingSocial Deals program to the Twin Cities by developing
relationships and establishing advertising relationships with local businesses
including restaurants, spas, retailers, tourism venues, and more. The Sales Rep will be expected to deliver at least 22 qualified contracts per
month.

their favorite movies, books, games, music, restaurants, beer and other
interests. Currently, LivingSocial has more than one billion user preferences
and its popular PickYourFive application has quickly grown to be the largest
application on Facebook with more than 50 million registered users. 



 



The LivingSocial Deals program
allows local businesses to publicize their offerings through a special “daily
deal” targeted to LivingSocial users in major metropolitan areas.  Businesses agree to offer large
discounts – usually north of 50% -- to LivingSocial users if a specified number
agree to sign up for the deal.  In
this way, LivingSocial users can band together to collectively realize their
group buying power – while merchants can be assured that their offering will
reach a large number of highly targeted users looking to try new things and
share the experience with friends.



 



Candidate Requirements:



·     
Outgoing, optimistic, and with strong
interpersonal skills



·     
Willingness to go door-to-door and regularly
meet with and sell to merchants in person



·     
Comfortable with explaining business concepts
and deal terms to non-business people



·     
Keen sense of what is “hot” / “up and coming” in
a particular city



·     
Ideal candidate would have less than 5 years of work experience



·     
Prior sales experience a plus



·     
Knowledge of Facebook and Twitter preferred



 



Job Description:



·     
Generate and maintain a robust merchant sales
pipeline based on local happenings and news



·     
Meet with and sign up local merchant to
participate in LivingSocial Deals – 22 qualified contracts per month minimum



·     
Write deal promotional material for use in daily
email blast and online



·     
Maintain relationship with merchants leading up
to and post deal



·     
Lead efforts to grow LivingSocial local user
base and email list subscribers
