AmSan, the nation’s leading distributor of janitorial and sanitary products and supplies, has an immediate opening for an exceptional Outside Sales Representative.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate new accounts, achieve established sales and profit goals and promote AmSan products.  
  • Prepare an annual & weekly sales plan by customer and prospect.  
  • Cold call, initiate sales.
  • Continually improve technical knowledge of company's products.
  • Demo and provide product guidance.
  • Meet with and maintain good working relationship with the company's key vendors in order to build a profitable territory.
  • Maintain your own vehicle including current driver’s license & liability insurance.

  • Ability to sell company products & equipment in order to meet established goals. 
  • Attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize.  Strong follow-up skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and good listening skills.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Decision making capabilities.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills.

 

Requirements:

  • 2 years' successful outside sales experience with proven prospecting & sales techniques. JanSan product experience preferred. Some college or degree preferred    
  • Ability to prospect for new customers and call on current customers at their place of business a minimum of 40 hours per week & work additional hours as necessary to complete high priority projects
  • Excellent computer/technical skills including MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook. Ability to learn eAccess Sales Software
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact with vendors and internal customers at all levels and provide excellent service to customers via phone, internet and in person
  • Ability to accomplish tasks in fast-paced environment while following company procedures
  • Dependable, good decision making ability and strong ethics
  • Ability to lift small machines and sample products, up to 50 lbs.
  • Clean MVR, pre-employment drug and background screen
