Job Description:

Job Summary: Serves as a key onsite IT resource for implementation and support of medical imaging applications at a facility.

1. Manages, administers and ensures SLA is being met through the c.Support Help Desk.


2. Management of OpsManager Workstation / Server Monitoring tool.
   
3. Requires Proactive Response to all errors on OPsManager.
   
4. Responsible for the installation, modification, configuration and maintenance of the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archival & Communication System (PACS) and related systems.
   
5. Provides technical expertise in implementing and supporting all RIS/PACS functions. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the RIS, PACS, ancillary systems and equipment, including image workflow, archiving, and auto-routing.
   
6. Coordinates and implements hardware and software additions and enhancements to the RIS/PACS systems.
   
7. Develops, maintains, monitors troubleshoots and provides technical support for all RIS/PACS components.
   
8. Performs other departmental duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements: 

Experience managing, monitoring, or supporting a Radiology Information Systems / Picture Archival and Communication System software.

Knowledge of radiology workflow and modalities.

Ability to use tools and methods to ensure effective DICOM and HL-7 communication.

Ability to provide critical thinking and problem solving techniques to quickly and effectively resolve issues.

Basic competency in developing and managing interfaces

Knowledge of and expertise in the use of a variety of computer hardware and software systems.

Basic competency with Windows Server OS, Windows XP, and Window Vista

Familiar with LAN, WAN, Cisco and IP Communications 

Strong analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information with clarity and patience.

Strong project management skills, with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Ability to collect and analyze data, develop, test, implement and document system changes.

Familiarity with Medical Imaging, CT/MRI/X-Ray as well as PACS or DICOM

Provides input to division policies, procedures, and training for medical imaging applications and processes.

Provides on-call assistance as needed.
