A+ Certification, Technical Support/PC Repair, Hardware/Software

Our Client, one of the world's leading consulting and IT services firms, has a long-term contract position available for a PC Technician.

Position Overview/Description:

This Client is rolling out new PCs to its users, with 513 systems needing to be refreshed. The Consultant would actually be doing the roll-out, as well as setting up the PCs for the users.

The PC Technician would need hardware and software experience, since s/he will be:


  • Performing the hardware installation on the Dell systems.
  • Installing the Operating Systems/image to the new PCs.


There is already an image set-up that s/he will just ghost onto the machine. The Consultant would need to know how to connect the PC to the network and should have experience with deployment.

This is an estimated one year PLUS contract position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in New York City. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies on the East Coast.



Requirements:

Required Skills for this PC Technician position include the following:


  • Should have an A+ certification along with 2-3 years of Technical Support/PC Repair experience (preferably Dell; Dell certification a plus)
  • Must have 2+ years of Hardware/Software experience
  • Must be very professional in manner, since employees will represent Our Client at customer locations
  • A 7-year Felony/Misdemeanor Background Check required along with a Drug Screen
