Job Description

PD Tech/Tape Operator

We are currently seeking PD Tech/Tape Operator in the Wellesley Hills MA area. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week.

 The responsibilities/skills required are as follows:

PD Technician

Responsibilities: Tape support, involves vaulting, inserting and ejecting tapes from servers and tape drives. Track media movement, check media in and out from offsite storage.

Other duties include ordering expendables, and assisting with other tape library duties, work effectively as a single performer; interacting with other team members, customers, support personnel and management

Requirements:

Candidates must have prior Data Center tape and server experience
On Call & overtime as needed, (not frequent).
Able to perform Vital Record shipping and receiving, Media Inventory and reconciliation.
PC skills including e-mail (Lotus Notes), Microsoft Office and general Windows skills.
Ability to take direction via phone for 1st level problem determination to support on site servers and hardware.
Candidates must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Candidates must be able to start immediately upon successfully completing Drug and Background screening to be considered
Candidates with Tape Librarian experience and knowledge, a plus.

Minimum of 1 year experience required. 401(k) available.
