About the Job
Looking for a motivated well rounded LAMP developer for our Manhattan office. dzine it is a New York visual communication firm specializing in website design, web programming, software development, organic SEO, custom graphics and website development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test and implement new PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript based applications and websites for new customers using our Object Oriented development framework.
- Need to be able to transition from one website to the next, most of our website projects are unique so you are not working on the same functionality from one project to the next.
- Develop new features and functionality for existing applications
- Support the existing infrastructure and applications
- Provide support for dzine it software by developing functionality needed to create new web applications and features
- Identify areas that require improvement and recommend/implement solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years experience with Object Oriented PHP on web based applications and websites
- Knowledge of MySQL, including stored procedures, index strategies and transactions
- Understanding of multi-tier web architectures and OO design patterns and concepts
- A strong understanding of the JavaScript language
- Demonstrated ability to work on a diverse scope of software and database projects requiring detailed analysis, creative/practical problem solving and sound judgment
- Ability to operate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
- Must demonstrate solid organization/communication skills
- Manage multiple projects within a short development cycle with routine supervision
- A strong understanding of HTML, XML and CSS
- Must have experience slicing and extracting images from a Photoshop design file
