Our client's fast paced and growth-oriented environment is perfect for Web Developers who enjoy analyzing site performance and influencing the design while developing the next generation of entertainment e-commerce services and products.

Front End Web Developer: responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating computer software to facilitate business operations. Maintains and expands capabilities of the corporate CRM and ecommerce applications. Provides functional and technical leadership to junior team members. Coordinates small to medium sized teams on projects.

Position Overview:

  • Develops web applications using current programming tools in either a team or individual environment
  • Develops database queries and stored procedures
  • Analyzes problems and provides coherent solutions to users and management
  • Converts system requirements into logical program designs, code modules and stable application systems
  • Develops technical design documents for software solutions independently
  • Guides junior team members on technical and functional issues
  • Performs unit, integration and system level tests, and develops necessary supporting documentation
  • Provides support to requirements analysts and users in the development of functional system requirements
  • Sets milestones and meets personal and project team programming schedules and deadlines

This is a direct hire position through Volt Technical Resources- a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, located in Portland, Oregon. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.



Requirements:

Required Skills for this PHP Web Developer position includes the following:

  • 4-6 years experience developing high volume transaction based websites that incorporate item management. as well as, cross selling
  • Expert knowledge in PHP5, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, SQL, XML, HTML and CSS
  • Thorough knowledge of design and integration/architecture patterns
  • In-depth understanding of Agile development processes
  • Experience with MVC frameworks, such as Zend
  • Able to quickly learn new technical concepts and programming languages
  • Ability to effectively and accurately articulate complex functional and technical concepts to end users, junior team members and management
  • Strong team player and motivated self-starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in current technology trends and ability to provide innovative software solutions

Preferred Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of CRM system tables, table relationships and underlying data flows
  • Experience with Oracle WMS (Warehouse Management System), Microsoft Commerce Server and IBM WebSphere
