PHP / Web Developer

Providing in-store data management systems, distance learning distribution, and e-Commerce solutions. MBS provides a comprehensive assortment of tools and services for the college bookstore industry.
The Web Developer will work with the technology team to assist with reviewing and testing of new technologies, PHP & HTML builds, internal database builds and support, JavaScript issues, and web site update.
Position Responsibilities
Work with the Technology team to develop, evolve and manage technical web site standards.
Assist in developing and maintain internal databases
Work with the Design to complete and QA html builds for internal and external projects.
Provide front-end troubleshooting support.
Assist in managing versioning of web assets like graphics, HTML templates, JavaScript, and style sheets.
Support new tool implementations
Keep up to date with new technologies.
Foster a collaborative working environment, and encourage new ideas from the team.
Application Knowledge needed
Fluency in PHP, HTML, xHTML, XML, Java Script, CSS, SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle)
Knowledge of Office applications (Word, Excel, Access)
Knowledge of applications used in web development: authoring tools( Homesite, Dreamweaver, etc.), graphics tools ( Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel DRAW, etc.)
Education/Experience
Bachelors Degree or commensurate
experience in production for a Web-based organization required. This position requires the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, as well as being detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
