As Planning Engineer / Production Production Planner for Nufern, you will be responsible for scheduling, and maintaining product and raw material inventory.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement structured/rigorous production planning and coordinate with engineers/process area leads to manage WIP and ensure on-time shipments.
  
• Define and maintain raw material supplies and Finished Goods Inventory levels.
  
• Work with existing scheduling tools and also develop new tools to determine production material needs and prepare the production schedule.
  
• Communicate delivery lead times and production status with Customer Service Department.
  
• Manage outside operations and vendors, and communicate status to engineering and manufacturing.
  
• Define and report on production and performance metrics.
  
• Set up and initiate Access work orders as needed.

REQUIRED:      5-7 years manufacturing planning experience.

REQUIRED:      MRP system experience; JDE preferred.

DESIRED:        Fiber optic or high tech manufacturing experience.

DESIRED:        Experience with ISO policies and procedures.

DESIRED:        Microsoft Excel power-user; proficient in Microsoft Access.
