PLC Programmer / Electrical Designer
M & A Solutions, Inc. (www.masol-inc.com) designs and builds automated manufacturing machines that range in size from desktop to integrated manufacturing floor systems. Our staff consists of mechanical and electrical engineers, technicians and machinists who work together to provide our customers with innovative solutions.
A majority of our machine designs serve the medical product manufacturing industry and meet FDA and other applicable standards. With extensive experience in providing equipment to the medical manufacturing industry we have seen an ever increasing demand for our services. This is allowing us to expand during a time when many industries are scaling back their workforce.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a driven individual who’s technical, business, and interactive abilities would make them a key member of our staff.
Functions:
- Interact with customers to develop machine specifications
- Develop creative programs for PLC, motion and vision systems
- Develop electrical concepts and designs
- Estimate labor and hardware costs
- Author customer proposals
- Create 2D ACAD electrical schematics
- Supervise and assist with machine manufacturing and startup
- Contribute to business strategy discussions
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated PLC programming proficiency, Allen-Bradley experience is a plus
- Experienced in programming automated assembly equipment
- Demonstrated ability to program motion control systems
- Proficiency in electrical design and assembly
- Skilled in industrial vision systems programming
- Ability to assemble and trouble shoot electro-mechanical systems
- Knowledge of medical device design and manufacturing is desirable
- Familiarity with FDA manufacturing requirements is an advantage
- 10+ years of directly related experience. Extensive experience may substitute for a degree in a related field.
Compensation will be based upon candidate's qualifications.
M & A Solutions, Inc. is located in Bluffdale, Utah (20 miles south of Salt Lake City).
