JOB DESCRIPTION

PLM Business Development Manager


This BDM will be responsible for winning profitable and high value services business by working directly with the Sales and Services Delivery organization to engage our company’s clients and prospects to maximize value from product development process change.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Work with the Sales Organization to identify opportunities for services business

• Articulate company’s services approach and value proposition to instill confidence in our clients and be viewed by the client as the credible advisor for implementation.

• Effectively position, craft and scope high value and high quality engagements.

• Document services engagements through high quality Statements of Work (SOW’s)

• Assist in the negotiation and closure of services business

• Act as an advisor when necessary during the execution of major and/or strategic engagements

• Ensure the successful hand-off to services delivery for the implementation of the agreed upon SOW

Skill Requirements:
• Knowledge of product development and product development processes.

• Understanding of software implementation

• Understanding of and experience in the consulting process

• Business acumen and experience working in a selling cycle

• Ability to act as an expert advisor

Industry experience in the following is preferred:
• Aerospace, DoD, Discrete Manufacturing

Certifications in the following is preferred:
• Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, SCOR, DCOR, CMII, Systems Engineering/Logistics Engineering

Functional experience in:
• Supply Chain Management (Supply/Inventory Management, Logistics/Distribution, Maintenance/Repair, Manufacturing)

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (4 year degree)
5+ years in a Business Development role or similar applicable experience.
