CO-OP Financial Services, the nation’s largest credit union owned EFT network and processor, is looking for a PMI Certified Senior Project Manager in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

The primary job function responsibility of the Sr. Project Manager is to manage projects of all sizes and scope throughout the CO-OP Network organization.  The Project Manager is well versed in the concepts and application of the PMI’s knowledge areas and works to enhance the use of those knowledge areas within the CO-OP Network organization. 

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Plan, organize, and control projects of all sizes and scope throughout the CO-OP Network organization.

• Manage projects by applying the appropriate project management areas of knowledge. 

• Understand and apply standard development and re-engineering methodologies to all projects that require analysis, design and development.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest project management techniques through seminars, conferences, and affiliation with PMI.

• Participate in and/or lead internal initiatives to define and improve project management standards for the organization.

• Mentor and coach level 1 and 2 project managers.

• Ensure that all project implementation related issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.  Coordinate problem resolution among client, vendor and network, for systems related and post-production problems.

• Perform or manage the effective hand-off of the completed project to the appropriate internal group.

• Provide guidance and technical support to clients prior to and during the implementation process to ensure standards and best practices are met. 

• Provide customer site training where required.

• Participate in as a resource in other CO-OP Network Project teams, as requested.
  
• Provide back-up to management when required.

• Participate as a resource or sub-project manager within other CO-OP Network projects.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have at least 5 years experience in the EFT or banking industry required with ATM or POS processing knowledge, and 4 years college experience in the field of Information Technology.  ATM or POS knowledge required.  Five years of project management experience required to include previous experience acting as a liaison between groups and communicating detailed information accurately.   Knowledge of system analysis and basic telecom concepts strongly desired.  Previous lead experience is a plus.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and possess strong independent analytical, planning and organizational abilities. This position requires strong working knowledge of MS Office Software, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint along with project management software and spreadsheet skills.  The individual must also have good organizational skills, be detail oriented with excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. This person must demonstrate good time management skills, display good follow-up skills and demonstrate a positive team attitude. Must have the ability to work with individuals of all levels with varying technical skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.  Must have car, insurance and a valid driver's license.  Frequent overnight travel is required.
