We have an immediate need for a PREFERRED SPECIALIST
JOB DESCRIPTION
CDI ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION TO BE LOCATED AT OUR CLIENT SITE IN ANCHORAGE, ALASKA AND ON NORTH SLOPE.
PREFERRED SPECIALIST:
Responsibilities
• Liaise with Subsurface team to define objectives for well remediations.
• Provide HSE (Health Safety & Environment) leadership during planning and execution of operations, lead well testing HAZOP (Hazard & Operability Study) meetings.
• Manage contractor service delivery and provide regular performance updates.
• Ensure learning is transferred with client via established knowledge management channels.
• Develop specific technical tools and procedures to address current field issues.
• Apply Beyond the Best principles to well operations (technical limits).
• Train and mentor junior staff to build skills in basic Well intervention practices.
• Capture of lessons learned during operations and ensures that procedures/programs are amended as appropriate, in conjunction with supervisors and service companies.
• Develop appropriate tools, methodologies and processes, working closely with related functions and common process teams, to enable effective communication, engagement and delivery across the organization
• Provide support to the Wells Team.
Experience & Knowledge
To be considered for the role of Preferred Specialist, applicants must have the following qualifications:
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant industry experience
• Proven track record of taking responsibility for achieving challenging goals in health, safety, security and the environment (HSSE)
• Ability to work on a team
• Good communications skills
• Willingness to take the lead when challenges occur
• Ability to anticipate future situations and plan ahead to meet them
• Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis
• Minimum of 10 years work experience
• Ability to work independently and in an engaging and facilitative way across a diverse range of assets, locations, people and disciplines
• Strong experience with planning, initiation and execution of projects
• Previous participation in the deployment or post-implementation support of new technologies
• Demonstrated ability to deliver through appropriate engagement of others and project management
• Demonstrated balance of competence and knowledge across several areas of Well Interventions including the following: planning and execution of well operations, interventions and surveillance; initiation and execution of projects; and deployment or post-implementation support of new technologies
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Engineering or relevant industry experience
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant industry expertise
English fluency required
