PRINCIPAL TECHNICAL ANALYST

Position Summary
This position requires the ability to supervise multiple projects and various levels of staff. This position requires a strong technical background, general business knowledge and very strong project management skills. It is extremely important for this person to possess excellent interpersonal skills to routinely interact with team members as well as business personnel and Management. Should be driven to improve processes and technology within the department as well as other areas of the business. Must always be able to independently resolve problems, pro-actively communicate, and manager projects.

I. Installation

II. Analysis and Administration
1. Perform review and analysis
2. Meet with internal/external customers to understand improvements and prepare
recommendations.
3. Provide alternative solutions to business issues
4. Perform estimate of customer requested change
5. Keep abreast with advances in technology
III. Production Support
1. Manage of Application problems (ensure timely completion of problems and management)
2. Maintain overall process knowledge of various business systems
3. Implement/maintain a production support infrastructure
4. Timely completion of all mandated changes
IV. Project Management
1. Manage multiple projects of various sizes
2. Responsible for coordinating members on a project
3. Management reporting
V. Project Administration
1. Ensure project status reporting occurs
2. Ensure project plan methodology is established and
followed
3. Ensure project scope changes are managed and expectations are met
4. Act as a resource to assist staff in resolving project issues
VI. Team Development
1. Train team members
2. Acquire necessary project resource skills
3. Establish a team quality standard
VII. IT Process Development
1. Development of work process, instructions and standards
2. Adherence to standards
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in computer related field with 8+ years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with patching/patch roll-outs, Windows XP, Vista, Office 2003, 2007, 97 and on-call support desired.
Application deployment, SCCM, PC imaging, hardware support experience would be beneficial along with Microsoft Certifications. Experience managing medium sized teams (8-10 people) and implementing processes and procedures are a must.
