This individual will maintain close working relationships with Marketing, Sales and customers to identify customer needs, trends and to market existing products, in addition to developing an HVSA product strategy in line with sales, the customer and specifications. Other responsibilities include forecasting and communicating product volume requirements so production capacities can be secured, as well as monitoring sales and service field reports covering problems, pricing, competition and proposals pertaining to responsible product area. This individual will be required to monitor costs and give recommendations for cost improvements. This person will have the authority to make necessary changes in price, marketing or engineering to meet business objectives within specified guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for staying abreast of technological advances to develop a competitive strategy to enhance market position, new applications for products and modifications to improve flexibility and customer appeal, along with establishing effective communication channels and working relationships at all levels to provide pertinent, timely and accurate information and ensure effective performance of related product line functions. This individual will also be responsible for keeping management informed of the progress, status and direction of assigned product lines, developing and implementing a marketing strategy for assigned product lines that include advertising, merchandizing and channels to market, as well as increasing sales and market share through all applicable channels, consistent with the profitability guidelines established by management.
Bachelor's degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline needed, along with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position. Individual must have product knowledge, self motivation, proven initiative, outstanding communication and presentation skills, and strong industry knowledge. Individual must be able to travel.
