SUMMARY
Assist with the analysis of customer technical training needs. Gathers, examines and interprets general technical data to determine appropriate training content, objectives, and design. Develops, conducts and evaluates effectiveness of technical training. Uses specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials. Provide stand-up instruction for the customer. Work under general supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. With supervision, gathers, examines and interprets general technical data by reviewing resource data (i.e. publications, drawings, schematics, interactive electronic technical manuals) to determine the content of training course materials.
2. Work with a team of Training Specialists to develop general training materials (i.e. Instructor led computer-based training, instructor/student guides) based on design requirements, and objectives in order to deliver customer training.
3. With supervision, updates existing training materials by incorporating technical and procedural changes to maintain currency of course materials.
4. With limited supervision, primarily with co-instructor assistance, capable of instructing systems of multiple vehicle platforms.
5. With direction, supports the evaluation of customer training by observing, measuring, testing, reviewing and analyzing training to ensure that learning objectives are met effectively.
6. Understands basic technologies with regard to Oshkosh Truck's products.
7. Travel as required .
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Education or Communications or skill/knowledge level regarding specialized techniques or principles equivalent to four-year college degree. .
· 2 or more years of related automotive or heavy truck operation and maintenance experience
· Mechanical skills inventory to determine mechanical aptitude.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience with Windows-based software recommended
· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred .
