PRODUCTION SCIENTIST

About the Job

Beckman Coulter develops, manufactures and markets products that simplify,
automate and innovate complex biomedical testing. Our diagnostic systems are
found in hospitals and other critical care settings around the world and produce
information used by physicians to diagnose disease, make treatment decisions and
monitor patients. Instruments for life science research are used by scientists
as they study complex biological problems including the causes of disease,
identify new therapies, and test new drugs. Our customers include hospitals,
physicians' offices, diagnostic reference laboratories, pharmaceutical and
biotechnology companies, universities, medical schools and research

Production Scientist

Responsibilities include:
• Preparing and testing production and pilot reagents according to written
procedures and protocols
• Performing simple calculations according to procedures, and maintaining
accurate records of work performed according to GLP, GMP, and QSR´s
• Explaining work processes to peers and may assist in training new employees
• Participating on a CPI Team, and contributing to team efforts within the
department
• Understanding the departments business needs and is responsive to priorities
and deadlines

Qualifications:
• Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry,
Biochemistry or equivalent
• One or more years of laboratory experience in a GMP regulated environment
• Experience working with Protein Purification and Column Chromatography is
preferred
• Must possess problem-solving skills
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles highly desired
• Ability to prioritize work tasks
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Experience with MS Office products, email
