DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-This position reports to the Director of Ground Systems, SPP and is responsible for the planning, managing and technical performance of one or more program(s)/project(s)
-May have responsibility for subordinate managers
-Direct all phases of the program(s)/project(s) from inception through completion
-Participate with technical staff, senior program managers or Division/Group executive management in the development of and has primary responsibility for the implementation of annual and long-term technical schedule, quality, business and financial objectives for the program(s)/project(s)
-Contribute to the development of annual and long-term objectives for the Division/Group
-Represent the program(s)/project(s) with customers, ensure technical quality and excellence are maintained
-Champion the development of new or expansion of existing business opportunities
-Provide leadership in attracting, developing and retaining human resources
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Typically requires a Bachelors degree, Masters degree or PhD in Engineering, Science or a related technical field and progressively more complex technical experience as follows; six or more years experience with a Bachelors degree, four or more years experience with a Masters degree, and two or more with a PhD, as well as three or more years of program/project management experience
-May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education
-Demonstrates in-depth know-how in the application of program/project management principles, concepts, theories, and practice as well as comprehensive project/ program management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones
-Must posses the ability to resolve moderately complex management and technical problems; serve as spokesperson on projects and/or programs; and be a technically knowledgeable in the area of program/project management
-Good communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives
-Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
-Experience with design and testing of the DoD Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) armored vehicle systems
-Knowledgeable in the use of Solid/Works
-Knowledge of and experience working with the respective government Program Offices at the Army’s Tand and Automotive Command (TACOM) and the Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) Joint Program Office
-Experience in marketing and customer relationships with overseas customers
-Current Program Manager Professional certificate
-DoD security clearance eligible
-U.S. Citizen
