Candidate will be required to work effectively as part of the ATS team. Close interaction and sharing of ideas will be a daily activity. Organized work habits, good communication skills, and a willingness and drive to innovate are a necessity.
Responsibilities:
Perform Finite Element analyses, provide constructive feedback to the developing design efforts, perform all post-processing, and document results.
The best candidate shall be a degreed engineer (BS or higher) and possess knowledge and experience with:
· Design and analysis of welded and riveted steel and aluminum structures.
· FEA (ANSYS strongly preferred).
· 3D parametric CAD (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
· Failure modes (buckling, fatigue etc.).
· Structural testing and analysis of test results.
· Fastener sizing and analysis.
· Macro programming (specifically ANSYS’s ADPL and VB for Autodesk Inventor & the MS Office products).
