PB Transit & Rail Systems (T&RS), a division within PB Americas, Inc., (PB) has one immediate opening for a Senior Project Manager with experience in rail rolling stock  in Boston, Massachusetts.  This position reports to the Manager, Rail Vehicle Division of PB Transit & Rail Systems, and will have responsibility for the overall operation, performance and execution of tasks for the procurement of vehicles.  This position requires an individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively at all levels within PB, with subcontractors, and with the Client.  It also requires the ability to work alone with little supervision and to be resolute in dealing with all matters according to approved documents in a fair and unbiased manner. 

The position requires knowledge of design and maintenance of locomotives and push-pull commuter cars.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular status meetings with Client
• Prepare Agendas and Minutes in a timely manner
• Prepare Task related Documents
• Perform and Monitor progress of tasks according to agreed upon schedules
• Monitor labor hours expended against task progress
• Monitor all documents that are to be submitted to the Client for quality and correctness in accordance with PB ISO 9001 requirements
• Monitor staff reports and prepare contractually required reports to the Client
• Report to PB's Manager, on a regular basis

 Candidates shall have at least 10 years experience in the rail industry, preferably as a Project Manager.

Good demonstrable computer skills in at least Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access are also required. Candidates should have an electrical or mechanical engineering degree, and preferably be a Professional Engineer (PE).
