PSH - Deputy Project Manager
The Public Sector Healthcare group at CGI Federal is looking for a Deputy Project Managers to join our project team. We are looking for a hard working team players who are committed to providing high quality and value add services to our client. Individuals must also be highly collaborative and have familiarity with both busines and technical functions. Must be able to communicate with team members within all levels of the project team.
Specific responsibilities include:
„X Driving planning activities for a defined suite of Website tasks/releases (typically 2-4 related release items depending on size) „X Working with task leads and team members to develop and deliver proper Release/Iteration Plans „X Collaborating and communicating with project leads, project managers, and team members to coordinate cross-project initiatives and activities. Includes, but not limited to working with project leadership to introduce improvements in form of process and tools to facilitate Agile/Scrum based SDLC „X Identifying and communicating dependencies, issues, and risks and developing and driving identification and implementation of appropriate mitigation strategies. „X Identifying and eliminating obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation. Assisting in the development and implementation of contingency plans. „X Development and tracking of budgets and task level estimates (cost and duration). „X Implementing scope control procedures. „X Working with technical and business leads to actively manage the work efforts of multiple technical and functional resources through the project plan. „X Participating in cross-team process improvement initiatives „X Monitoring and reporting project status, internally and to client as appropriate.
Required skills include:
„X Familiarity with web-development technology „X Expertise in all phases of system development methodology „X Experience working in an Agile development environment „X Ability to successfully manage delivery on projects in a matrixed resource environment „X Strong communication and relationship skills „X Solutions focused and capable proactively recommending solutions when scope, schedule, and resource availability are out of balance „X Desire to be active in operations and drive process improvements, along with strong customer service skills „X Experience working in CMMI Level 3 environment is also a plus. „X Experience in healthcare and/or government IT a plus „X Experience with Web Content Management technology a plus „X PMP certification desired.
