PSH - .NET Technical Architect - Program Level

The Public Sector Healthcare group at CGI Federal is looking for a senior level .NET architect to join our project team. We are looking for a hard working team player who is committed to providing high quality and value add services to our client.

This project includes a migration from Classic ASP to the .NET framework and migration from a Siebel based user interface to a .NET framework. Individuals must have recent experience working on .NET projects, ideally 3.0 or 3.5. Experience with migrating applications to .NET is preferred.

Candidate will be responsible for:

„X Staying abreast of the development methodologies and technical components in use and under development in the .NET communicty (examples: (SOA, Web Services, etc.).
„X Advocating and implementing best practices in development within the project¡¦s .NET development teams
„X Coaching and providing training and guidance to .NET developers
„X Troubleshooting technical tasks/issues common to the .NET development teams.
„X Verifying compliance with client¡¦s .NET Technical Reference Model.
„X Representing CGI within client design reviews and acting as liaison to client and third party review entities with respect to .NET architecture.

Ideal candidates will possess a wide variety of experience architecting enterprise and mission critical applications, including but not limited to the .NET platform. Essential skills will also include: full application development lifecycle experience (i.e., requirements definition, design, development, QA, implementation), strong analytical and problem solving abilities, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in working with SQL Server as the back end is preferred. Experience working in Agile development envirionment a huge plus.

Experience working in CMMI Level 3 environments and/or experience leveraging Agile Development Methodology is also a plus.
