Job Description: The Department of Corrections has a limited period (one year) vacancy in Augusta, Maine. The BoC was created in 2008 to work with the DoC, prosecutors, judges, sherrifs Jail and County Commissioners and administrators as well as the Maine Department of Corrections to devise a unified correctional system for the State of Maine. This position will coordinate integrate, analyze the BoC's operational laws, policies, procedures so that it can accomplish its goals, particularly in the critical and costly areas of Pretrial, diversion, and reentry services.

Minimum Requirements: An eight year (8) year combination of experience, education, and training in the practices and principles of correctional policy planning and development. To qualify, your application must address the following competency areas: 1. Experience which provides you with a knowledge of best practices relating to pretrial diversion and reentry services. 2. Experience in organizational, functional, and operational corrections' systems on the state and county levels. 3. Experience in research and development of correctional policies and strategies. 4. Experience in collaborative work relationships with stakeholders in the criminal justice system. 5. Experience in complex budgetary development and administration.
