Package Scanner and Sorters Full Time Work in Warehouse
Basic Job Requirements:
All items that come off trucks are manually scanned by an individual. This person should pay close attention to properly placing labels on boxes to ensure accuracy in addition to being accurate; person needs to maintain 7 packages per minute for this position. In addition, Scanners must adhere to all postal policies and regulations.
Proper sorting and placement on skids to ensure packages and skids do not tip over, accuracy with packages that get placed on each pallet at a rate of 11 packages per minute. Zip codes confirm and correspond with correct destination - it is critical that the Package Handler in this area pays close attention to detail.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Must be physically fit for position
· Experience working in a production / warehouse environment in the past
· Ability to lift up to 70lbs
· Ability to maintain fast-pace for eight hours a shift
· Ability to work in deadline-driven, fast- paced, results-oriented environment
· Maintain a positive attitude
· Use good judgment and stay in assigned areas throughout the shift
· Limit restroom and beverage breaks in both time and duration
· Bedloading and downpiling skills required
· Able to load, unload and sort packages
· Continual lifting, lowering and sliding of packages
· Reading skills
· Number matching skills
· Ensure safety guidelines are followed and practiced at all times
Education and Requirements
· No dishonest crimes or felonies accepted for this position
· 18 years old
· Eligible to work within the US
Full time schedules available are listed below
Sunday - Thursday 6AM-2PM or 2PM-10PM or 10PM-6AM
Tuesday - Saturday 6AM-2PM or 2PM-10PM or 10PM-6AM
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday – 4 Day Work Week 10 hrs a day
6AM-4PM and 6PM to 4AM
