Job Purpose:
Manage daily operations of Packaging Department focusing on supply chain management and container strategy development.
Duties:
*Engage in packaging development and cost evaluation.
*Coordinate requirements for packaging design and development.
*Monitor supplier shipments and quality control.
*Communicate with Department Leaders regarding inventory levels and production output.
*Lead discussions and coordinate meetings focused on project development and department activity.
*Implement updates and current reports into data system for verification.
*Utilize supply chain management skills to conduct mass-production manufacturing and transportation control.
*Responsible for setting up and updating packaging systems.
*Periodically present packaging information and processes to management.
Required Skills:
*Firm knowledge in supply chain management and logistic operations.
* In-depth knowledge and experience with technical packaging development.
*Professional and effective communication skills both written and verbally.
*Ability to succeed in a fast paced and demanding environment.
*Attention to detail and capability to meet critical deadlines.
*Problem solving and decision making ability.
*Strong understanding of business management operations and production.
*Big picture outlook, capability to think ahead and implement/revise cost cutting operations.
*Computer skills; MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Spreadsheets, SAP, ERP, MRP
*Experience or Knowledge in reading CATIA layouts is a plus
