Job Summary
Responsible for the design, testing, and implementation of sterile and non-sterile packaging systems for all company product lines. Provides project management for support of new product introductions, line extensions and external development alliances. Interfaces with Corporate Director of Packaging in developing Corporate wide packaging and labeling practices.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Take initial design concepts through development process.
SME for packaging development, testing and validation practice.
Interface with Product Development, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Strategic Sourcing, Corporate Packaging, outside vendors and hospital personnel.
Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs)
Effectively manages multiple priorities with high quality expectations in a team-based environment.
Actively participates in development meetings with assigned development teams.
Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups.
Helps identify customer packaging requirements.
Good communication, teamwork and organizational skills are essential.

Knowledge of clean room and sterilization process
Knowledge of industry packaging standards
Leadership to drive innovations, problem solving, and proactive process improvements
Knowledge of industry standard label practice
Education/ Experience Requirements
ยง B.S. in packaging engineering, mechanical, or industrial engineering plus 8-10 years experience in medical device packaging and labeling, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
