Applies broad knowledge of print and pre-press workflows, digital asset management and quality control. Gain understanding of customer’s business needs to establish solid customer relationships and facilitate problem-solving.  Act as a liaison between client, RRD and overseas print facilities to ensure projects meet scheduling and quality requirements.

This is a 3-6 month contract position with possible conversion to full-time.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with client project teams to ensure all config labels are completed on time and error free
• Manage project workflows:  Pre-press, translations and photography
• Attend design phase meetings as needed to provide input for print reproduction issues, schedule updates, and finalization updates
• Request design files from Production Art Studio (including High Resolution files from Pre-Press facilities)
• Preview package designs, proofread and route for approval using PAL
• Review package designs and re-route if necessary
• Release material to RRD producing plant
• Monitor and communicate RRD proof arrival dates
• Obtain all necessary approvals on proofs
• Follow up on receipt of final printed packaging
• Support other teams during slow periods

• 3-5 years related project management or customer service experience
• Experience with retail packaging projects
• Must have knowledge of the print and prepress industry and workflow
• Must have working knowledge of Illustrator and InDesign
• Proven project management skills
• Ability to adjust communication style in order to work with diverse levels and personalities
• Ability to work with ambiguity
• Ability to problem solve, be proactive in identifying issues and use sound judgment to make decisions.
