Job Description:

The Brand Solutions Division of Matthews International is seeking a Packaging Project Manager to work on site at a major branded client in Norwalk, Connecticut. 

We are seeking an experienced individual to manage the packaging development needs of the client on behalf of Matthews.  The PPM will be responsible for ensuring the accurate flow of information between the client, client’s vendors, Matthews and printers.  This will include participating in project kick-off meetings, gathering and consolidating project components for all client stakeholders and forwarding information to Matthews for design and prepress production.  The PPM will develop project timelines, maintain regular status reports and lead team planning meetings.

A summary of duties to include:

·         Be the key point of contact for customer for all design and pre-press needs.

·         Gather project information and initiate/facilitate project kick-off meetings to ensure all parties have complete understanding of the project scope and requirements.

·         Work closely with client design managers to facilitate entire packaging graphics process.

·         Develop, document, communicate and manage project timelines.

·         Coordinate scheduling of production with production facility and communicate status to customer.

·         Monitor and communicate project status to client stakeholders, printers and production team.

·         Review customer packaging needs and present alternatives to client to improve packaging quality and/or increase efficiencies.

·         Liaison between Matthews and customer to resolve billing issues.

·         Seek opportunities to maintain and grow Matthews’ business volume with the customer.

·         On behalf of Matthews, manage client perception and maximize customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:                     BS Degree in Graphics Communication or related field preferred

                                                5+ Years of Packaging industry experience required

                                                Familiarity with gravure, offset and flexo print disciplines

                                                Demonstrated project management skills
