Under supervision of Senior Counsel, Employment & Litigation, assist Genzyme counsel with all stages of domestic and international disputes, including litigation and arbitration in the following areas: employment, patent, product and professional liability, commercial, securities and bankruptcy. Work with internal business clients and outside counsel, as necessary, to assist with coordination of all aspects of litigation, including fact investigation, case evaluation, managing litigation holds, discovery (electronic and paper), motion practice, alternative dispute resolution and trial.

Assist with responses to all subpoenas, document and deposition requests arising from third-party litigation. In connection with risk management department, coordinate relationship with third party administrator for all product and professional liability litigation. Assist with legal research and other employment projects on ad hoc basis.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent and at least 2 years experience as litigation paralegal within law firm or in-house legal department.
