Lorillard Tobacco Company has an immediate opening for a PART-TIME MERCHANDISER to service established retail accounts in the Hampton, Newport News and Williamsburg area.  Hours/days are flexible between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 20 hours per week.

Candidate must consent to an independent investigation of their background, credit report, references, past employment, education, motor vehicle record, criminal record and drug screening.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for contacting a variety of retail stores to merchandise and promote our quality cigarette products.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking individuals with good organizational and communication skills and the ability to interface with a wide variety of people.  Our preference is for applicants who are already located in the area.

Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age with a high school or equivalent diploma; possess a valid driver’s license issued from the state in which employed; have reliable transportation; provide proof of automobile insurance and be able to lift and move light objects.  Experience in sales or merchandising helpful.

COMPENSATION:  The starting salary is $10.92 per hour plus 55 cents per mile reimbursement. 

The successful candidate will be eligible for one week paid vacation after six months employment.
