This is an mid-level staffing/human resource position to support our client both in recruiting and on-site coordinating functions. Person will also responsibile for generating sales leads and developing new business opportunities. Position will begin as a part-time position but could move to a full-time opportunity for the right candidate. Overtime may be required once the position becomes a full-time opportunity.
Our company is headquartered in metro-Detroit, MI. Person will coordinate with company headquarters from Davenport, IA to achieve goals.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Generating sales leads and developing new business with prospective clients
Coordinate recruiting activity for the client.
Recruit, interview, test and hire candidates as needed for open positions including participating in job fairs, define and write job ads and following of company’s employee referral program.
Coordinate new hire orientation and process paperwork
Data Enter and manage/track employees in company’s HRIS system (Staffsuite)
Provide on-site support to maintain and develop client and employee relationships. This includes monthly employee meetings, employee performance reviews, coaching and counseling and employee terminations.
Coordinate payroll activities and reporting
Administrative duties and reporting as needed
Required Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years previous staffing industry experience both recruiting and generating new business
Basic knowledge of HR principles and practices including employee relations, Workers’ Compensation, Employment Law, Unemployment
Experience/intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Type 40 WPM
Customer service oriented with the ability to multi-task and think creatively
Ability to work independantly to achieve goals
