Position consists of the overall responsibility of assigned parts programs. Performs complex and varied assignments to develop parts programs for major company projects. Exhibits creativity and mature judgement in solving parts problems as they occur. May provide work leadership to lower level employees. Reports to the Parts Program Manager and receives direction in terms of broad general objectives and limits. Decisions have major impact on division projects and program costs.
Prepares the parts portion of complex proposals.
Develops, presents and negotiates parts programs for complex projects.
Plans the entire effort of parts programs on complex projects. This includes determining resource requirements, availability, scheduling, appropriate testing and delays, & generating all required documentation for internal & external customer approval.
Responsible for the selection, approval & requirements of all EEE components. Participates in vendor audits & precap inspections.
Researches and analyzes information to characterize piece parts capabilities and parameters.
Responsible for resolving and consulting on parts problems using advanced methods and theories.
Analyzes and reports on in-house part failures and prepares failure analysis reports.
Analyzes complex technical parts problems using advanced methods and theories.
Conducts research for advancement of organizations parts capabilities.
Researches parts technical developments and advises management.
BSEE or equivalent and a minimum of eight years experience or equivalent combination of experience and education in military parts specifications and components pertinent to organization.
Proficient in personal computer skills and associated software.
Must work in a team environment and maintain working relationships both with internal and external customers.
Interpret and understand the overall direction of the company and structures tasks to move in that direction.
Good knowledge of quality standards established by the company and industry.
Knowledgeable in various electronic component test equipment.
