Adecco Engineering & Technical has an immediate opening for a PARTS SPECIALIST,. This is a 12-month contract opportunity located in Atlanta, GA. Please reference job description below to see if you match the job criteria.
Spare Parts Catalog Specialist for Steam/Generator turbines
Responsibilities:
- Create spare parts list for Schenectady, Lynn, and/or Fitchburg manufactured steam turbines by using BOM information from COPICS, drawings from DART, and/or unit record sheets.
- Spare parts catalogs requests will be made via Support Central. The specialist will be listed as an expert for those units. As a result, those requests will go directly to the expert chosen by the requestor. If there is more than one expert available, the Triage Queue Manager will assign the request appropriately to balance the workload.
- Metrics are maintained and reviewed to understand cases that are created and closed. The specialist will be responsible to manage his queue to prevent requests from being overdue or escalated. An expectation will be set for accuracy, cycle and volume.
- At times, due to business needs, a request maybe expedited where the specialist will need to address immediately.
Tools:
- eSPL - a new tool where the spare parts catalog list will be generated. Training will be provided.
- Support Central - Web site where requests will be submitted.
- COPICS, DART, METAPHASE, LAPD, Global Explorer, Global Connector
Skill Sets:
- Working knowledge of COPICS, DART, METAPHASE, URS (Unit Record Sheets). Previous experience a plus
- Ability to read and understand BOM structure of a steam and/or a generator.
- Steam/Generator Product Structure: Familiarity with the different variations of steam turbine frame (i.e. D11, G2, etc). Ability to determine from the BOM or assembly which parts to select as recommended spare.
- Ability to work within a global team environment (i.e. team members will be spread across the globe and different time zones)
- Good communication skills
- Great work ethics (i.e. punctual, trustworthy (has integrity), respectful of others, passionate and delivers high quality work)
