Qualifications: -B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Biology, Agronomy, Botany, Crop Science, Horticulture, Molecular Biology, Plant Breeding, Plant Science, Biochemistry, Pharmaceuticals, Biofules or Related Disciplines-Excellent Word Processing Skills-Detail Oriented-Highly Motivated

About the Position:  -a patent agent assists patent attorneys in preparing and prosecuting patent applications and related work with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office -a patent agent analyzes patents and translates the data into information that is relevant to business development for the Firm and for the clients

Major Responsibilities: -participate on an inter-disciplinary team to evaluate and coordinate assignments -review invention disclosures and determine advisability of patent protection, including reviewing of prior art -prepare and/or coordinate preparation of patent applications, including working closely with the patent attorneys, clients and inventors -assist in preparing opions and infringement and validity analysis -provide intellectual property support in licensing, trademark and collaboration activities
