Qualifications: B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Plant Science, Biology, Molecular Biology or Related Disciplines.

Must be detail oriented and highly motivated.

About the Position: Patent attorney or patent agent (A patent agent assists patent attorneys in preparing and prosecuting patent applications and related work with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.)

Major Responsibilities: Principally, the prosecution of patents.  The individual will participate on an inter-disciplinary team to evaluate and coordinate assignments, review invention disclosures and determine advisability of patent protection, including reviewing of prior art, preparing and/or coordinating preparation of patent applications, working closely with the patent attorneys, clients and inventors, preparing opinions, infringement and validity analysis, providing intellectual property support in licensing, trademark and collaboration activities
