We are currently seeking a Patent Searcher in our Legal Department at our Morgantown, WV location.

In this exciting role, the candidate will provide assistance to the Intellectual Property Subgroup of the Legal Department.

Responsibilities include:

1. Perform weekly searches for competitor patents/applications, issuances and publications.

2. Monitor on-going competitor litigations regularly for decisions and helpful correspondence; obtain court documents for attorney tracking the litigation.

3. Locate new competitor patent litigation cases.

4. Monitor Orange Book information as needed.

5. Perform prior art studies independently or in conjunction with scientific personnel or outside counsel.

6. Perform other duties as assigned.

A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree and three years experience is required.  However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
