 Patient Service Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Patient Service Representative works in a local hospital screening uninsured patients for medical assistance (Medicaid/charity assistance programs).   They connect patients with the local agencies that provide assistance programs and assist with the application process as much as possible.  Other duties will be assigned.  Position Hours are Saturday and Sunday 10am-7pm.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Bachelor's degree is preferred but is not required
• Must have good communication skills
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility process is preferred
• Social Services background is a plus
• Strong customer service skills are required
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive your own car
• Must type 35 wpm; typing test will be administered
• Must be willing part time weekends
