Payroll Accountant                   33-12107761

The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for various duties related to payroll as well as some general accounting duties. This position is based in Warrenville and reports directly to the Controller.

Responsibilities

• Payroll for weekly and bi-weekly employees
• Maintain employee records/attendance cards
• Timely response to inquiries for information in all areas of the Payroll Administrator’s duties
• Calculate various earnings, deductions and taxes; disability,  new hires, terminations, garnishments, bonus, 401k deductions, state, federal and local taxes
• Process various interfaces and direct deposits
• Written and verbal communications with employees in regards to paychecks, deductions, taxes and earnings
• Some Accounts Payable duties as needed
• Post Journal Entries at it relates to Payroll

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• At least 3 years of Payroll experience
• Must be organized with excellent analytical ability and strong communication skills
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, trust, and confidentiality
• Traverse experience is a plus
• Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Access a plus
