Summary:  This position is responsible for coordinating and administering the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payment to all employees.



 


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):


·         Perform payroll related activities such as reviewing and verify hours and pay for accuracy; processing payroll in ADP; maintaining accurate records; and handling payroll questions.


·         Calculate and administer Compensation Plans including commissions, quotas, and incentives.


·         Document and follow policies and procedures and ensure SOX controls are in place and operating effectively.


·         Reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts and generate related journal entries.


·         Prepare recurring and ad hoc payroll reports and report analytical results to management.


·         Process wage assignments, garnishments, taxes, 401k, direct deposits, and other payroll liabilities.


·         Work closely with HR to process employee changes and compensation plans, and ensure the integrity of payroll.


·         Continuously improve payroll processes to increase productivity within the department.


·         Remain up-to-date and manage payroll developments, new regulations, law changes, etc.


·         Support Finance team by extending responsibilities, assisting with challenging projects, and being team-orientated.


·         Demonstrate commitment to Stratasys Core Values by leading, acting and behaving. 


·         Follow all company safety policies and procedures and attend all safety trainings related to the job position.


·         Other duties as assigned.


 


Essential Skills and Experience:


·         A two-year associate/technical degree in accounting and 5 years related payroll experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


·         Expert ADP user and knowledge of payroll and accounting practices and principles


·         Possess clear written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.


·         Handle confidential information and communicate with the utmost level of professionalism 


·         Strong computer skills including: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), ERP systems, etc.


·         Problem solving and decision making abilities, excellent attention to detail, and analytical skills.


·         Able to effectively manage time to meet deadlines, work independently with a high degree of accuracy, prioritize projects appropriately, and adapt quickly to fluid situations.


·         Well versed in all legal aspects of payroll, federal and state taxes, wage and hour laws, 401k, etc.


·         Ability to multi-task while maintaining the highest quality standards in a face paced work environment.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:


·         Work is typically performed in a temperature controlled environment.


·         There are no unusual mental or physical requirements for this position.


·         Manual dexterity required.
