Construction company in Wixom, MI seeks Payroll Administrator. Responsibilities include:
· Working independently to meet compliance deadlines to deliver timely and accurate payrolls.
· Interpreting and applying complex wage and hour laws.
· Processing multi-jurisdictional taxes, benefit accruals, garnishments, and related entries.
·
Ensures that all transactions are properly documented and approved.· Ensures job cost employees are setup with proper tax codes and labor rates.
· Preparation of certified payroll reports.
· Performs other duties/projects as assigned
Job Qualifications:
Required: Ability to work accurately with numbers. Superior data entry skills. Three years payroll experience. Must be able to work independently, with good organizational and time management skills. Must be able to work well with people and maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Regular and consistent attendance is required.
Preferred: Experience with commercial construction accounting, job costing and advanced payroll experience would be a plus. Understanding of prevailing wage requirements and certified payroll. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
