Payroll and Benefits Manager/Experienced HR Generalist

About the Job

Job Summary:  This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll (ADP) for approximately 75-100 employees by managing all activities within the HR & Payroll department.  Related responsibilities also include benefits-record administration, reporting and payroll system maintenance.

 

Essential Job Function:

·         Manage and coordinate all facets of human resources (using ADP).

·         Work closely with our recruiting department on new hire procedures.

·         Manage and coordinate all facets of payroll processing for employees through ADP PAYeXpert using ADP’s integrated ez Labor Time Clock.

·         Knowledge of ADP’s PAYeXpert Benefits Tracking system.

·         Thorough knowledge of HR laws and policies.

·         Reporting, enrolling, and supporting liens/orders within ADP

·         Ensure timely updates to payroll systems and procedures as required, due to changes in tax laws, regulations, pay policies, notifications and compensation initiatives and wage liens.

·         Ensure the accurate payment and reporting of employee benefits, in compliance with the provision of tax laws, federal/state regulations, and benefits policy.

·         Administer direct deposit, manual checks, child support, wage garnishment process, and resolve payroll discrepancies.

·         Manage third party vendor relationships (ADP, benefit vendors etc.)

·         Work closely with Accounting/Finance to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of reports.

                                                        

Requirements:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • At least 5 years progressive payroll experience/processing
  • Prior experience assisting with employee benefit management
  • Proven track record of organizing, streamlining, and improving processes
  • MUST have experience with ADP, advanced knowledge of Payroll/HR databases and processes, data interfaces, and query/data source tools
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Deadline and results-orientation essential
  • Project a professional image and possess a high level of confidentiality
  •  Candidate must be self-sufficient, detail oriented, independent, able to multi-task, and have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
