Essential Function:
The primary purpose of this position is to process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for all US salaried and hourly paid employees for multiple sites. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining the automated time keeping system for hourly paid employees; ensuring the ADP payroll system is maintained.
Scope:
This position interacts with employees at all levels of the Company as well as with outside vendors.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Process payroll weekly and/or bi-weekly for all Nice-Pak US Salaried employees and hourly employees based in New York and offsite.
2. Maintain the Nice-Pak Products, Inc. 401(k) plan including processing employee transactions, updating systems, processing employee requests, assisting employees with account maintenance (as required), prepare analytical reports, etc.
3. Process invoices for benefits including Life Insurance, Dependant Care FSA, third party sick pay, etc
4. Responsible for payroll audits (i.e. union audits, worker's compensation.)
5. Monitor use of KRONOS Timekeeping system and work with Plant Management to ensure information is maintained and updated on a timely basis
6. Coordinate with Human Resources Management to receive any related paperwork or changes to payroll prior to processing
7. Maintain employee personnel files.
8. Input data into the appropriate areas within the ADP system.
Minimum Requirements:
Equivalent Education Level Requirement:
Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
Experience Required:
Two or three year's payroll and accounting experience using a current version of the ADP and an Automated Timekeeping System, preferably Kronos.
Knowledge Required:
1. MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
2. ADP HR Anytime or Enterprise equivalent
3. KRONOS Timekeeping
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Excellent customer service skills
