My client is looking for a Payroll Specialist who is fluent in Spanish - both verbal and written (Portuguese would be a plus). This person will report directly to the Regional Payroll Manager and be responsible for processing payroll for eight Latin American countries.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process payroll for eight Latin American countries
- Enter all payroll data into Global Payroll System
- Request tax payments to the different tax authorities in each country.
- Address and resolve all payroll inquires.
- Complete monthly SOX audits.
- Work closely with HR and Regional Service Center in each country to assure accurate payrolls.
- Create reports via Cognos as requested
- 2-4 years experience with Associates/Technical degree. Five + years of related work experience post high school.
- Expertise in payroll and understanding of the payroll process end to end.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft HR functionality
- Knowledge of Cognos a plus.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and analytical skills. The ability to analyze issues and identify possible root causes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, proven organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to successfully meet project and schedule deadlines relative to payroll.
- Preferred candidate can communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. Portuguese would be a plus.
