SUMMARY: This position is responsible for processing payroll for the entire organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Process weekly payroll by entering approved timesheets into the payroll system.
· Remit court, TSA and other miscellaneous payroll deductions to the proper organization by submitting check requests to Accounts Payable for payment.
· Upload the employees’ 403b deductions to the 403(b) manager.
· Ensure the accuracy of the weekly payroll information by reviewing the payroll journal and correcting inaccurate information.
· Provide wage information for employment verification on loan applications, unemployment claims and disability filings by completing the appropriate forms.
· Assist in the year-end payroll process of generating accurate W-2 forms by coordinating efforts with the Controller.
· Monitor benefit hours by coordinating efforts with Human Resources and reviewing the appropriate payroll reports weekly.
· Generate reports based on payroll company database to assist program directors in managing their staff.
· Provide cooperation and service to all other departments in the agency.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience in payroll.
