Summary        

                                                       

Ensure payrolls are processed in a uniform, timely & accurate manner adhering to department standards utilizing your knowledge of payroll, taxes, work comp, benefits, deductions and Wage and Hours laws.  The Quality Control Supervisor overseas their assigned team and assists other teams.  The Oasis Missions and Values are to be incorporated when processing internal and external customer service.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise Team Members

*       Merit reviews

*       Counseling, coaching & cheerleading

*       Train on policies, procedures, and deadlines for all new/existing team members

*       Organize, create and conduct weekly payroll meetings

*       Coordinate team members' absenteeism/FMLA

*       Transfer client procedure (clnts out of Transitions and between Specialists/teams)

*       Manage team members PTOs, prepare biweekly internal payroll

*       Client issue resolution

*       Random Payroll Audits

*       Research & send IT helpdesk requests (error messages, special requests & system testing)

*       Hands-on knowledge to perform essential duties of Senior Payroll Specialist, Payroll Specialists I, II, III & New Hire Processors in their absence

*       Oversee other teams when their assigned Quality Control Supervisor is unavailable

*       Client visits

*       Year End: W-2c's, adjustments, PUCC, Third Party Sick, etc.

*       Research on wage & hour issues through BNA, state, local & Federal Government Agencies (internet), Employer's Guide to the FLSA, and our internal HR department, Etc.

*       Extensive customer service, internal & external

*       Annual Objectives

*       Client Retention

*       Ensure all payrolls are processed by end of day

*       Client termination process

*       Interviewing & Hiring

*       Conduct Monthly Employee Status Meetings

 

 

 

System Administration

*       ACH/Positive Pay

*       Authorize and process voids

*       Complete ability to train, set up, process and troubleshoot internal & external customers through all Oasis Services:  Web, Excel/Time Clock Feeds, PTO's, General Ledger, Team Helpdesk, Other Services as developed.

*       Monitoring of Team Voicemail in absence of Senior Payroll Specialist

*       Respond to any error message on Davison/Web that a team member may encounter

*       Monitor Team Helpdesk

*       Return all calls in the same business day in a polite, cheerful manner.  When out of the office, voicemail must be changed as well as using your 'Out of Office Assistant' with your e-mail.

*       Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience                                                    

 

Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Specialized knowledge in the payroll and accounting field with exceptional customer service experience.  Ability to read and comprehend instructions and short correspondence.  Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.  Ability to use office tools such as calculator, fax machine, copier and telephone.  Problem solving skills in a fast paced environment, ability to multitask, and be a team player.

 

 

Other Qualifications                                                                 

 

Within Oasis Operations, team work is a condition of the position.  If there are team members running behind, out sick, on vacation or out of the office due to personal time, we must answer phones, process client requests in full, process payrolls, process inbox requests and complete all tasks while payroll team members are out.

 

Attendance is critical in this position due to daily deadlines.
