A thriving Construction and Property Management company is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their growing Virginia Beach team. The Payroll Manager will develop policies and procedures and supervise the entire payroll process, including payroll taxes and journal entries in a multiple entity and multistate environment. Duties include verifying all employee changes, bonuses, retropay, expense reimbursements, time records; reconciliation of biweekly payroll and wage garnishments; work closely with the accounting department for all payroll recording issues; review outstanding checks; review all billings from third-party payroll vendors; prepare and distribute W-2's; and reconcile wage and tax totally. The candidate will have 7+ years of progressive payroll and accounting experience, a bachelors degree, strong knowledge of Peoplesoft and Kronos Time and Attendance, 3+ years of supervisory experience, detailed knowledge of multiple state laws, excellent communication and team building skills.
