The Payroll Tax Manager has all leadership role and responsibility for the departments and employees that report into them for all functions of their department inclusive to on-shore and off-shore activities, client and Accenture communication, Profit and Loss (P&L) and client mobilization.
Key responsibilities may include:
Ensure Accenture's HRO division has appropriate staffing levels, process and procedures and technology necessary for client satisfaction.
Identify processing trends within both the internal department and at the client level make appropriate modifications as necessary.
Manage and modify employee workload to ensure timely receipt of client product and services.
Establish correct expectations whenever client processes change and submit the supportive client business requirement documentation.
Create and/or Maintain fiscal responsibility for their department.
Maintain regular communication with team members regarding overall team and individual performance expectations and results.
Transition new hires into Accenture's department and develop training activities.
Develop team members through coaching, counseling, mentoring and training activities.
Identify, develop and administer individual training needs for team members.
Motivate team members to support and sustain a positive work environment.
Evaluate team members and provide appropriate input to HR processes.
Responsible to client for services provided inclusive to communications (both verbal and written) and service level agreements (SLA).
Manage departmental results to achieve SLA's.
Assist in the organization and coordination of client mobilization activities.
Ensure client schedules and staffing levels are modified to accommodate client or Accenture business fluctuations (IE: holidays, month-end, quarter-end, year-end, etc).
Communicate to all departments within Accenture to ensure seamless processing for clients.
Provides Accenture clients with high quality output in a timely manner with all audits and controls.
Develop and improve processes to increase HRO and/or departmental efficiency.
Performs special projects as requested to support management data needs or respond to external information requests.
Integrate all on-shore and off-shore processes to insure accurate HRO processing.
Encourage and implement continuous improvement measures on day-to-day basis
Maintain effective internal/external client relationships and provides guidance to and shares knowledge with colleagues/team members.
Must have flexibility to work weekend or evening hours when necessary.
Up to 10% domestic overnight travel.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years large company multi-state, multi-corporate payroll tax experience.
Minimum of 7 years management and/or leadership experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven leadership skills motivating and developing individuals to ensure quality production
Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO) experience preferred.
Knowledge of developing budgets and/or managing a P&L.
Experience with conflict resolution.
Background as a change agent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, management and customers.
CPP, PHR, SPHR, CPA a plus
Ability to identify and create solutions in a problem-solving environment.
Ability to manage and adapt to a continually changing environment, dealing with multiple clients and priorities with excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
