Business Development Manager
Meridian Staffing Services is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Charlotte, NC branch office. This is an exciting and dynamic sales position with responsibility for developing, maintaining and growing our business and meeting or exceeding revenue, margin and headcount goals. You will identify and build relationships with decision makers and hiring managers at existing and potential clients in order to identify and staff their technology hiring needs. Responsible for successfully converting leads into clients. This includes managing client requirements and driving overall client satisfaction. You will also participate in the development and implementation of sales techniques and best practices.
Responsibilities
• Grow and maintain long term relationships with current Clients. Promote existing Client development and build relationships with prospective Clients through office visits, presentations and negotiations.
• Consistently prospect, pursue and close new business. Ability to identify new leads and prospects, generate call lists and obtain client meetings. Cold and warm calling skills; experience dealing with and managing objections. Proven experience and ability to manage all states of sales prospecting including the ability to complete RFP's related to IT Staffing.
• Create strategic marketing plans customized for each client. Client activities include client development, building relationships, penetrating client accounts, meeting sales objectives, obtaining requisitions/job orders, negotiating rates, reviewing candidates and achieving client satisfaction.
• Conduct follow-up activities with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery by candidate of expected services. Work closely with Recruiting in efforts related to candidate activities including quality assurance, candidate follow-up, candidate retention and extension, lead generation, re-marketing and assignment end.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the MSS ATS as well as Client VMS/MSP systems.
• Identification of networking activities such as attending professional association meetings, etc.
• Resolve any customer service issues quickly and efficiently to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

1. High energy and confident in building partnership with hiring managers, VP’s, Director of IT, CEO’s and CTO’s of target companies. The ability to maintain/nurture relationships. Understands the value of relationships – relationships with clients, relationships with candidates and relationships with recruiters.
2. Ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
3. Significant knowledge of Information Technology services solutions, focusing on all aspects of hardware, software, and application development.
4. Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, high change environment. Must possess a strong sense of urgency.
5. Strong problem resolution and negotiation skills. Excellent planning, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills. Results oriented.
6. Determination, persistency and ability to add new clients. Ability to take no for an answer. Ability to exhaust all avenues and present best value and pricing to leads and prospects and convert them to clients.
7. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; or equivalent experience
Computer literacy: Microsoft Office
Experience
Relevant Work Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of sales experience with at least one year experience in IT Staffing Sales or IT Recruiting. Ideal candidate will have a proven record in penetrating into new clients and talking to executive level people.
